thinking like a river / i think you know
"i cant explain whats in my brain that tells me where to go, but i think you know." -- todd rundgren
i keep being in the right place at the right time.
i was sharing essays with a close good friend today, and she shared with me a beautiful and powerful essay on body image, familial love and perception and the heredity of self-acceptance or lack thereof. being witnessed in an ever-evolving form by people who've known you and had expectations of you since birth. how parents place the goals they couldn't achieve on their children. as soon as i finished the essay and put the phone down and opened my mouth to respond, my peridot bracelet snapped and started to become unstrung. this is no coincidence.
